Walnut Veggie Burger Recipe

Today we’ll bring our vegan and vegeterian friends a delicious walnut veggie burger recipe. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons of olive oil
1/4 cup of minced red onion (2 slices)
1/4 cup of minced celery (1 medium stalk)
2 cloves of peeled and minced garlic
1 teaspoon of yellow mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of dried thyme leaf
1/2 teaspoon of dried rosemary leaf
1 1/2 cups of chopped walnuts (buy walnuts here)
1 cup of cooked short grain brown rice
1/2 cup of gluten free breadcrumbs
1/4 cup of parsley leaves
1/4 cup of nutritional yeast
Salt and pepper, as desired
Directions:
– Heat the olive oil in frying pan on medium-low
– Peel, remove stem & mince the garlic
– Mince the onion and celery
– Increase the fry pan’s heat medium.
– Sauté veggies until soft and starting to brown
– Add herbs & spices and stir for 60 seconds
– Add walnuts, veggies & spices, parsley, brown rice, breadcrumbs and nutritional yeast to food processor. Then, process until well mixed but not mushy
– Add salt and pepper
– Heat a small amount of oil in a large frying pan on medium heat. Divide the veggie burger mixture into six balls, flatten and fry for about ten minutes on each side
